Today’s tips: Rosewin & Boogie

By Editor On October 6th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Yesterday’s winning next best and two seconds (not Kieren Fallon’s best-ever day) reminds us that Flat racing gets tougher now - sensible staking is advised.

Long-term subscribers will know we love each-way ’steal’ bets at odds of around 5/1 (and above) and we’ve hopefully got a couple for you today.

We tipped Rosewin last time out when she bolted riderless at the start but amazingly still finished a close second - she reappears in Catterick’s 5.30.

She’s only two pounds higher and Alan Dickman can eke more improvement from her.

While Faithful One is feared in the 2.10 at Leicester, we’ll go for an each-way next best in the shape of the interesting Boogie Diva.

With other big yards featured, we’ll get around 6/1 on Marco Botti’s inmate - good value despite a moderate last run after two promising efforts.

Highland Glen won a really competitive Kempton event and can now start to really make up for lost time for Sir Michael Stoute (Leicester 4.10).

Even with only four runners, Leicester’s 3.10 is a cracking contest and Michael Bell’s Syrian could be worth an interest for those who like to have a daily yankee.

Today’s tips: Spanish and Counsel

By Editor On September 29th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Spanish Conquest has blossomed over hurdles this summer and the canny Philip Hobbs has booked Jamie Spencer for his return to the Flat.

The pair look  a good option for Warwick’s 5.10 race at odds of around 3/1.

At Sedgefield, Treasury Counsel catches the eye in the 5.00 contest.

Following a promising first run for trainer Evan Williams under a claimer last time out, this seven-year-old appears to be on a very favourable mark currently.
