Focus turns to Ascot

By Editor On June 10th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

We’re still wiping our mouths after taking a whacking at Epsom - the theory about following Goldolphin proved way off the mark, epitomised by Kite Wood’s mediocre Derby effort - and Midday’s narrow defeat still hurts!

However, if Cheltenham is our favourite jumps meeting of the year then our top Flat meeting is only a week away in the shape of the fabulous Royal Ascot.

Let’s hope we replicate our punting success at the Festival and we’re very hopeful as we’ve got a mix of strong form fancies and interesting inside info to think about already.

Big clues as the Flat warms up

By Editor On April 15th, 2009 in Racing News /

Well, our last seasonal bet on the jumps was hardly the appropriate farewell after a very successful couple of months - we’re over £2,000 up since February but Arbor Supreme never looked like adding to that.

Now is the time for change however and the Flat season is really starting to come to the boil with Newmarket’s Craven meeting as always delivering quality runners.

We’ll forgive our Irish mole for Monday’s bum tip as he’s mostly brilliant (Mikael d’Haguenet and Ninetieth Minute at Cheltenham being recent examples.

We’ve no bets to offer you for Thursday but would advise you to set the video (alright, Sky+ it then) as there are lots of future winners to be noted at this two-day meeting.

All eyes on Cheltenham!

By Editor On February 27th, 2009 in Racing News /

Unlike our sister site Cheltenham Festival Tips, Bet On Horses is more focused on Flat racing than the jumps.

We will have bets over the sticks but the faster horses are the ones that excite us!

As all roads are leading to Cheltenham at the moment, we’re probably due a slightly quiet period but, rest assured, our ears and eyes are open and we’re evaluating a whole host of betting opportunities every day - we’re just waiting for the right ones to come along.

There’s one horse we’re looking at for Saturday but probably only a 40% chance we’ll invest currently - check back tomorrow to see if there’s an update.
