Today’s tips: Star & Fair

By Editor On October 31st, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Star Wood is our each-way nap today at 10/1 in Wetherby’s 2.20 race.

The Irish raider is relatively unexposed for her age and is fit do herself justice on this seasonal debut - she can see off Serpentaria and My Petra to land the spoils.

Fair Along let us down in the Cesarewitch but we’re willing to give him another chance as he’s back over the sticks today in the 3.25, also at Wetherby.

Kieren Fallon’s ride at Newmarket was distinctly uninspiring and hopefully the class gap over today’s rivals will tell, at odds of around 9/4 he is worth the next best vote.

Elsewhere, Micheal Flips (3.00 Ascot) and Timepiece (3.10 Newmarket) were on our shortlist, but have been heavily supported and current odds are less appealing.

Click on the ‘Sportingbet‘ ad to the left of this post and you’ll get your money back if any of the above fall - an excellent offer that covers all C4 televised races with the firm.

Today’s tips: Knight & Connipton

By Editor On October 30th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

As is the way with betting, we’re kicking ourselves after tipping two losers yesterday when we had a good word for most of Godolphin’s five runners - all of them winners!

While we didn’t take heed yesterday, we’ve been avid supporters of the ‘boys in blue’ all year even when the racing press had scorned them - how times change.

Going against the crowd is a useful approach to investing and we’ll play that way today by selecting Knight Legend as our top daily racing tip.

Now with the excellent Philip Hobbs (from Jessica Harrington), this fellow can improve for new surroundings and is value each-way at 10/1 for Wetherby’s 2.40.

At Newmarket, Connipton can land the 1.50 under Frankie Dettori.

The 6/1 (e/w, of course!) is attractive as Brian Meehan’s charge is better than a first glance at the form book suggests - today’s the day she shows that.

Check back on Saturday morning for our update - it will definitely be before 12.30.  To join our free list, e-mail bespoke.content@btinternet.com.

Today’s tips: Penton & Shaluca

By Editor On October 29th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Another close call for two winners from two picks yesterday with Bruslini scoring but Silver Steel’s error two out probably costing us the double.

Our top tip today is Penton Hook at 6/4 in Lingfield’s 3.40 contest.

He hails from a bang in-form stable and can follow up his course victory last time out by getting the better of main rival Free Tussy today.

Elsewhere, Shaluca merits an each-way interest at 6/1 in the 6.30 at Wolverhampton, even though favourite Cojo is respected after narrowly missing out at Salisbury.

Ed McMahon’s inmate should give the ‘jolly’ a run for her money but it is disappointing that there are only two places now - do the place part to save your win bet.

Tomorrow’s update will appear before midday - follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/FreeRacingTips to get notifications of our updates as they are posted.

Today’s tips: Silver & Bruslini

By Editor On October 28th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

We almost got the double up yesterday but we’ll settle for a 2/1 winner and our 13/2 each-way punt placed (perhaps his draw wasn’t that good after all).

Today’s free daily tips are headed by Silver Steel in Haydock’s 1.50 race.

Richard Ford’s charge might not be the most original choice but even money still looks good value against four moderate rivals and the hat-trick should be achieved.

Bruslini rates the next best in the 4.30 at the Lancashire track.

The Philip Hobbs team is in top form at present and a recent run at Market Rasen gives him a fitness advantage over main danger Kack Handed.

Two that nearly made the list were Alanbrooke (3.05) and Arab League (2.45), both of whom have each-way appeal at around the 4/1 mark.

Tomorrow’s daily tips from the Bet On Horses team will appear at midday. Click on the adverts to get free bets and best odds guaranteed.

Today’s tips: Chosen & Bullet

By Editor On October 27th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

This is not a day to inspire and stakes should be kept sensible.

Chosen One has a good draw in Catterick’s 2.00 race and is a good each-way proposition at 13/2 - Bryan Smart’s course winner will relish the going.

At Yarmouth, Landowner can continue Goldophin’s fine run (2.10) while Longliner looks a banker (1.40) but neither will make you rich at the current odds.

Our next best bet is a newcomer in the shape of Henry Cecil’s Bullet Train in the 3.10 - we’ve heard a very good word for him, though he won’t be knocked about.

Updates will be at midday all week - click on the ads for free bets.

Today’s tips: Tinaar & Thunder

By Editor On October 26th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

We’ve tipped up Tinaar on her last two engagements only for her to be declared a non-runner each time - today, however, the money is down and she’ll run.

The early 15/8 for Gerard Butler’s charge has long gone but we’ll happily take 13/8, considering she looks a class above her rivals in Lingfield’s 2.50 contest.

Over in Ireland, we’ve had a good word for Thunder Bridge in Leopardstown’s 1.25.

While this is a competitive Group 3 juvenile race, the Dermot Weld runner can build on a debut Sligo win by taking this prize from Keredari.

At Leicester, Humidor almost made the top two on our list in the 2.30.

St Nicholas sets up dream!

By Editor On October 25th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

As we mentioned on Twitter (www.twitter.com/FreeRacingTips ), Lysander’s victory was great as he was our nap yesterday but the bet that’s been getting the e-mails and texts flowing is the Racing Post Trophy/Derby double on the exciting St Nicholas Abbey.

Thanks to our Irish contact, most of us have got 12/1 about the above - good work, as he’s now generally 3/1 for Epsom - but some of you seem to have got 14/1 and even 16/1!!

Fingers crossed that he stays fit as it was a performance of immense potential and we’ve all certainly got something to dream about over the winter.

With some of the team out of the country this week (half-term holidays for the family men!), our daily updates will be later than usual - we’ll be posting by midday for the next few days, enabling even the bronzed gods to get over the time delay and have their say!

Today’s tips: Lysander & Magical

By Editor On October 24th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Ian Williams has his team in fine form and Lysander can step up on a pleasing seasonal debut at Bangor by taking the 1.40 at Aintree this afternoon.

For some of you, 7/2 may be too short for each-way punting but we’d advise it here as this course winner looks booked for a place at least (money back!).

Our Irish mole has advised backing St Nicholas Abbey for the Racing Post Trophy-Derby double (12/1 or bigger) and we’ll go for Magicalmysterytour as a sporting e/w next best.

Willie Musson’s inmate is on a winning mark, will love the soft going and any market support in his favour would be very significant (Doncaster 4.05).

Others on the list were Aultcharn (1.30) and Nampour (1.05).

Next update appears Monday morning - and let’s hope for better luck today than yesterday, highlighted by Navy List’s ridiculous failure to be placed second (he was fifth!).

Today’s tips: Giants & Tanfidh

By Editor On October 23rd, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Readers who are not on the free subscription list should join today at bespoke.content@btinternet.com as tonight’s evening tips will only be e-mailed.

Due to a request from some of our sources for more confidentiality, this will be occuring more regularly and those tips won’t appear on the website.

This afternoon, Giants Play is a big whisper for the 2.20 at Doncaster.

Sir Michael Stoute’s charge made a most promising debut at Kempton in August and conditions should suit this beautifully-bred individual today.

Another that tempts us at around 2/1 is Tanfidh in the 4.40 on Town Moor.

This highly progressive type should have too many guns for this field.

Normally, we only advise backing our nap and next best but we’ll add a third (smaller) bet in the shape of Navy List in the 2.55 at the Yorkshire track.

With stable jockey Frankie Dettori on Saboteur, Ahmed Ajtebi’s mount is likely to be over-priced yet our Godolphin mole feels that he may be the better option.

At a tissue of 12/1, he makes each-way appeal  especially as Ajtebi won on him last time.

Tonight’s tip - via e-mail only - will be sent before 6.30pm if confirmed.

Today’s tips: Thievery & Sendali

By Editor On October 22nd, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Well that’s a first - two non-runners from two tips yesterday!

Let’s hope Thievery can hit the bookies today by stealing the 5.00 at Ludlow.

Zorro De La Vega will make the market as he’s so well fancied but that leaves our selection available at decent each-way odds (his tissue price is 7/1).

Similar comments apply to Sendali in the 3.15 at Carlisle this afternoon.

James Bethell’s inmate has been in good form on the Flat and over the sticks recently and the booking of Tony McCoy adds confidence that today’s the day (take the 7/1).

Today’s tips: Boo & Dukes

By Editor On October 21st, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

It’s a surprise to see Boo Boo Bear quoted at 6/1 with Paddy Power for Navan’s 4.35 race so get on each-way now by clicking the ad below (and get free bets!).

Edward Lynam has his string in fine fettle and this filly landed a touch at Dundalk last time - she’s clearly improving and must surely be at least placed here.

Another that makes e/w appeal is Dukes Art in Kempton’s 8.50 event.

James Toller’s inmate has a moderate draw and an 80-day absence to overcome but, at 15/2, it’s worth taking a chance that he can do the business.

Today’s Tips: Arabian & Pop

By Editor On October 20th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

It looks like backing our next best selections is the best policy at the moment, with yet another winner (Go Go Green - backed from 4/1 to 15/8) yesterday.

However, Arabian Silk carries our each-way confidence today in Lingfield’s 5.00 race.

Trainer David Simcock is one for the future and Darley Sun’s Ces win further proved that - grab the odds about his runner here (tissue price 9/1).

The next best is Popannan, who fits the e/w ‘bet to nothing’ profile that we like, at odds of 4/1 in the 4.30 at the same Surry track.

Others considered but too short in the betting today were Meeznah (2.50), Chain Of Office (3.50) and Referent (3.40).

Today’s tips: Hot & Go Go

By Editor On October 19th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Hot Prospect can live up to his name by seeing off some decent opponents in the listed Siver Tankard Stakes at Pontefract today (3.40).

The form of his two races has been franked in grand style and he can increase trainer Michael Jarvis’ excellent record with juveniles at the track.

Go Go Green (5.40) is another with a soft spot for the Yorkshire track and he looks booked for at least a place at each-way bet ‘to nothing’ odds of 4/1.

Elsewhere, similar comments apply to Ordoney in Windsor’s 4.00 (he’s available at 9/2).

16/1 winner is Champion!

By Editor On October 18th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

Saturday’s Champion Stakes win by Twice Over provided us with a welcome 16/1 success to end the week - the Bet On Horses team had a few glasses last night!

Onward and upward though, we’ll hopefully have an even better week this time around.

Thanks for the text messages and e-mails from you happy bunnies.

Today’s Tips: Fair & Twice

By Editor On October 17th, 2009 in Free Racing Tips /

It’s never a great feeling when you have one lined up and find Pricewise have tipped it and the odds have been cut but we still have to back Fair Along today.

Philip Hobbs has his team absolutely bouncing and his inmate ticks a lot of boxes in the Cesarewitch (Newmarket 3.40) - Kieren Fallon is in the saddle, he has a good draw and has been placed here before. At 12/1 (15.0 Betfair), he has great each-way appeal.

Our next best is also an each-way tip in another hot race - we think Twice Over is over-priced at 16/1 in the Champion Stakes (3.00).

He was placed in this last year and has run with great credit in Group One races this year, apart from the Eclipse. Two confidence-boosting wins recently will have helped him.

The fantastic Dubawi Heights (4.15) can also reward e/w support once more.
