Back to action
After a break, we’re back with some bets for you and shortly we’ll have news of even bigger changes - we’ll keep you posted as we’ve been very busy behind the secenes!
Our mole in the Godolphin camp can’t envisage defeat for Kirklees in York’s 3.10.
Frankie Dettori foresakes his beloved Ascot to take the ride in the Group Two York Stakes and it’s easy to see why he’s venturing to the Knavesmire.
The trip is ideal today and Kirkless is strongly fancied - one point win.
Nina Carberry is a fantastic talent and she is aboard Achak in the opening Ladies’ race at Ascot (1.25) for the shrewd trainer Ger Lyons.
Word from Ireland is that the gelding has been plotted up for this race and, at 6/1, this is a cracking each-way proposition (for 0.5 pts).
A less reliable each-way bet is Frozen Fire in the King George (Ascot 4.25) Â as he could easily continue his recent poor form and finish tailed off.
However the best of his form ties in very closely with second favourite Tartan Bearer – beaten by him at York and Epsom, he got revenge in the Irish Derby.
It’s a risk-reward call but at 20/1, we’d advise a speculative wager (o.5 pt) – as long as you are prepared that Seamie Heffernan’s mount could easily disappoint.  Â
